Norton 360 prevents creation of Self-extracing Archive

I'm trying to use SmithMicro's Stuffit 14 to create a sele-extracting archive (SEA). Even though I placed the programm in the Programexepmtions, I am receiving a warning that the newly created file is a thread to my system. The exact error message contains the word "Suspicious.Clod". After this, the file is deleted.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening - short of uninstalling Norton 360?

Hi

Welcome to the Norton Forum. The Exclusion you have created for the program will allow the Program to work without the Interference of the norton. To exclude the Files created by a specific program you have to exclude the folder in which those files are created.

Thanks for your quick reply.

While it's O.K. to exclude the folder into which the SEA is saved, the generated file still causes the descriped error.

So, sending the created file to my clients is impossible, as they will also recieve the warning should they use Norton 360, too.

To whitelist the file, Please submit in here. if the file gets deleted even after creating an exclusion, please uninstall Norton once and then generate that file and then submit the file for our Analysis.
