Did you try uninstall Norton 360 using the Norton Removal Tool and reinstall it?
If not, try it once. Run the removal tool multiple times to perform complete removal of all components.

Hi POOLMASTER7 -
Just so I can be clear about what disks means in your post, does that mean you are running to a cd, or to another type of disk?
Also when you start a backup manually, does a dialog pop up asking you to insert a disk?
If possible could you attempt to burn a disk outside of backup, just to exclude a potential problem with your cdrom drive (I don't mean to imply this is the problem, I would just like to make sure we exclude it)?
Thanks.

When I say disc I do mean a cd disc or a dvd disc. Yes, a box does open and ask me for 30 cd discs, 5 dvd discs, or 1 blu-ray disc. When I try to "manage my back up set" it freezes. If you can't tell there is a lot on this computer and a lot of it has already been backed up so I don't want to waste any more discs than I have to. My dvd drive does start to burn the dvd's but about halfway through it Norton freezes, so I know that the drive is working correctly. I can also tell that the dvd has been burned by looking at the bottom of the disc. It is the actual Norton program that has a problem and I don't know what it is. I really don't want to uninstall and then reinstall it if that is the only fix. Thank you for your help.

Okay, I think I figured out why Norton keeps freezing up when I try to "manage my backup sets", I might be a little impatient. But I still haven't figured out why it keeps freezing in the middle of a backup.
