Recently updated from Version 5 to Version 6. Install went fine and most v6 features seem to be working properly. However, the Threat Map seems to have a problem with my installation. When I click on a current threat name, a browser session is opened to a blank page. If I copy the URL to Norton Ask Toolbar Search, it reports no page found (not a 404 Error). At present the Threat Map is essentially useless since I cannot open the Threat Index.
Adminstrators, any help for this? Ran Help > Support > Autofix but issue persists.
OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1 32-bit
Browser: Internet Explorer 8
(NOTE: Using IE8 and Acrobat Reader 9 for essential compatibility for uploading data and generating reports for my Insulin Pump.)

Hi,
Just tried to open the cybercrime index and all went as expected. Have you rebooted and run live update until the program tells you that all of the updates have been downloaded and installed? And then rebooted again?
Hope this helps.

After posting this question I submitted the problem by Norton Support Chat. I was first helped by agent Indira who then transferred me to a Norton One Product Manager, ArjunP, since I had an issue with the Closed Beta for Norton One Android.
Arjun spent a long time with me in Chat, actually called me during the session on my phone, and launched a Remote Support Session to diagnose the Threat Index problem.
To summarize: First, Norton One Beta: the Norton 360 Version 6 "Dashboard" Mobile Apps offered an invitation-only opportunity to test Norton One Android Beta. N360 V6 sent a request to my Android phone to download Norton One. Norton One did install on my phone, but I could not Activate the app, with a no registered device found error. Arjun determined that the issue was that I had not received an e-mail invitation for the Norton One Closed Beta which is why my Android was not registered for the Beta. The problem was that N360 V6 Mobile App link was incorrect and should have pointed to Norton Mobile Security not Norton One. The link will be fixed in a forthcoming Live Update.
Second, Norton 360 Version 6 Threat Map: this issue is that when I opened the Threat Map, after Initializing the Map, the streaming current threats stream took a long time to load after clicking on a specific current threat. Then, when I clicked on a threat, it opened a blank web page, not the page with details on the specific threat. When Arjun checked the Threat Map during the Remote Control session, the Threat Map had apparently been updated, either when I and he both ran Norton 360 Version 6 Support Autofix (a very handy feature that should be better documented in Help and the Product Manual). During the Remote Control Session when we opened the Threat Map and clicked on info for a current threat, it took a while for Threat Map to launch the browser, but the Norton Security web page finally appeared and gave detailed information on the specific threat. Issue resolved by an updated Threat Map by either Autofix or LiveUpdate.

Kudos to Norton Support Chat. Agent Indira was very courteous and helpful, checked with a Supervisor, then directed my Chat directly to the specific Product Group Support.
Product Manager Arjun should receive a commendation. He was very cordial, knowledgeable, thorough, and extremely helpful as I mentioned above. As a measure of goodwill he even extended my Norton 360 Version 6 subscription 30 days! Service above and beyond the call.
Finally, Unresolved issue with Norton 360 Version 6 Cybercrime Index: When I click Activity Map and then click on Cybercrime Index a new browser session opens to the URL http://us.norton.com/redirect/cci.jsp?lgid=1033&pd
As a retired IT Professional, I have used Norton Products since Peter Norton's Toolbox(?) for DOS 2.1 and DOS 3.11! In the Peter Norton days there were not better technical tools. After Symantec purchased Norton product quality has varied, and there was a period when Symantec's support for Norton was sadly lacking, slow, non-responsive, and faulty. I left Norton for a while for ZoneAlarm. After ZoneAlarm was acquired, it too went through throes and support degradation, so I returned to Norton Internet Security 2010, continuing through the new and current Norton 360 Version 6.
Product quality and speed have returned, and Support options are vastly improved. I like the more detailed LiveUpate and Scan screens in N360 V6, a return to missed feature from the previous "simplified" screens. I also like the AutoFix function in N360 V6 Help > Support. More detailed support is available by e-mail, phone, or 24/7 Live Chat (my favorite method).
The "Nathan" Virtual Agent could use some tweaking. It does not do well with "fuzzy"logic searches and offers only single single options per question. Nathan's Fuzzy Logic could be improved, and the limited options in my experiences with N360 V4, V5, and V6 Nathan have not proven useful.
Norton 360 Version 6 Windows 7 Gadget: The gadget works well. My only issue is the Version 6 Gadget takes up more Win Vista/Win 7 real estate than the predecessor V5 gadget. It no longer fits in my single Win7 Sidebar ribbon. The free Cybercrime Gadget is even larger with less functionality. My recommendation: Shrink the gadgets, keep the functionality.
This Chat session renewed my confidence in Norton. Thanks again to Indira and Arjun.P!

I have run LiveUpdate and rebooted. After the reboot, N360V6 Activity Map Cybercrime Index still displays a blank page. I also tried updating Java to 17.0_01, as well as updating to the latest versions of Flash Player and Shockwave Player. While none of these may apply, I wanted to ensure my browser related apps are up-to-date.

I rebooted again after the Java, Flash, and Shockwave updates. Cybercrime Index Cybercrime Index URL used still displays a blank page in Internet Explorer 8. IE8 may be the issue, but for the present I must use IE8 and Adobe Reader 9 for compatibility with web-based uploads and reports from my Medtronic Paradigm Revel 723 Insulin Pump.

I opened Cybercrime Index with Google Chrome using the same URL and it displays properly in Chrome. There may be a compatibility with the cci.jsp URLs and Internet Explorer 8.
Hope these troubleshooting steps are helpful, and thanks for your post.

Did you try uninstall/reinstall using the Norton Remove & Reinstall tool?
If not, try that first:
Thanks,
HarryP
