Hi!
My of Norton 360 vesrion 5.1.0.29 will expire in 44 days. I do not have a credit card and I can only purchase one at the store. When will you have a new version of Norton 360, perhaps, 6.0? I know that Norton 360 version 5 was introduced I think In February of 2011. When is the next version do? I want to buy or download a new version by the time my version 5.0 expires.
Thanks

Hello Bobcat1,
Keep watching the forums here for an announcement. V6 is currently in Beta testing, which means the release is getting closer.
There is no release date for V6. Symantec do not provide release dates as the products are released when all testing is complete. If you get down to the last few days then you will best to buy V5. You are entitled to upgrade for free to the new version while you have a current subscription.
If you buy V5 earlier and V6 is released, you will be able to use your new key to activate the new version. Just wait until your current subscription is about to expire, or you will lose any remaining days.
I hope this helps, Dave.

Thanks so much!
So, I install new CD of version 5.0 Norton 360, say in 43 days by now. Do I need to uninstall my current Norton 360 then? Perhaps, it will overwrite the existing program?

No need to install/uninstall. Simply click renew on the bottom of N360 and enter your new key. As I said though, just wait until your current subscription is about to expire. ![]()

Hi Bobcat1,
You shouldn't need to uninstall or reinstall anything. Buy a new copy of Norton 360 and just use the Product Key from that purchase to renew the subscription on the program you already have installed - no need to install anew from the disc. Then when v6 is released you should be able to install it directly over v5.
