Norton 360 won't start and unknown error

[ Edited ]

I'm having a very troubling issue with Norton 360 refusing open up. I'll click on the desk top icon and the mouse will act like it's loading but stop and just do nothing. Then i tried running the program as an administrator the same thing occured. I then tried to start it from the Start menu. I hovered the mouse over Norton 360 in the start menu, and clicked "Run Quickscan" when the Tasks menu popped up on the right. I was greeted with a Red X error message that read as:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton 360\Engine64\6.4.0.9\uistub.exe"

Unspecified Error

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've already tried using Norton Power Saver to try and see if this was some virus causing the issue, it detected nothing and fixed nothing. Im at quite a dilemma. Please help :(

UPDATE*

I'm now getting a Norton Autofix error message that reads as:

Norton has encountered an error.

Error: 8504, 104

This poped up randomly a lttle while after i tried to open Norton only to not get a responsefrom it

Welcome,
Please download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool

www.Norton.com/nrnr

to clean up your copy of the program. Be sure to run live update and reboot until the program tells you that all of the updates have been downloaded and installed

Keep us posted
