I keep trying to download my norton 360 and it keeps going to the download manager and asking me to restart my computer. I click restart now and once my computer restarts a message that says bad image pops up and says that there was an error. I have tried many of the troubleshooting options under support and nothing seems to work. I just keep going in circles. Has anyone else had this problem and how can I download my Norton?

Hi Lynnie788,
I'm guessing you are using the standard edition of N 360 (not the premire) . Try to download it from here:
Have your product key handy to use for activation.
Let us know if this works for you.

Now it says Error 8504, 100

Do yu or did you have any other security programs installed prior to installing Norton? If so they need to be uninstalled and the removal tool for that product run prior to installing Norton.
One cause of that error code is a program conflicting with Norton.
Please tell us what your previous/curent security programs are.

I just did a live chat and was told that my computer is infected. I am super frustrated because I paid for Norton and it won't work.

You cannot blame Norton if it did not install because of an infection.
As yank suggested, if you had another security software installed, it would also conflict with Norton if it were not fully uninstalled.
What security did you have before your attempt to install Norton?

Do I understand this correctly, you were trying to install Norton on an infected system?
If that is the case, then Norton is not the reason for your frustration - your previous security product permitted the infection. You should not install a Security program while a system is infected - because as you have found out - it usually will not install.
What was the name of the infection CHAT told you your system was infected with?
I would suggest you start a new thread with the name of the infection in the title and wait for Quads (a co-volunteer) who does malware removal on this forum for free.
