I have completed my Norton Insight scans for everything except "Startup Items".
I receive a failed message everytime.
I have completely uninstalled Norton 360v6 2 times, and technichal assistance has no idea what is wrong. They want me to reinstall Windows 7. Every other program I have installed runs normally, so its not my windows installer as they suggest.
Anyone else with this problem??
Anyone know how to fix this? When I run the quick scan it checks all of the startup files.

Sorry for the trouble.
Can you let us know how you uninstalled/reinstalled N360 eralier?
Try running LiveUpdate repeatedly(2-3 times) until you receive all the necessary updates and restart the computer. Run LiveUpdate once again to confirm that you received all updates. Then run Norton Insight scan again.
Thanks,

I uninstalled 3 times.
Twice I used the Norton uninstaller, and lastly used Microsoft 'uninstall a program' and chose the second option to 'not remember my settings and logins'.
I run LiveUpdate several times daily.
Nothing has helped.
When I run a 'quick scan' it says "running Norton Insight scan AND start-up files.. Instead of 6000+ files it scans 9000+ files.

Hi,
Do you have any other scanners installed? Do they have real-time protection enabled? If you have no other security software installed I'd suggest downloading, installing, updating and running from the desktopo Malwarebytes free scannere found here:

MalwareBytes detroyed my computer once when IT got infected with a trojan, and stopped funtioning.
Eventually I was forced to do a complete re-install of my windows program. to get rid of it.
I use IObit Malware Fighter. After installing it, it found the three trojans and 5 spywares that were infecting MalwareBytes.
At present, I am working with Norton to try and solve this strange problem.
