I am running Norton 360 V6 on a Dell Inpiron (Windows 7 64). I succesfully installed the newest version of 360, but now on every boot-up it takes a long time to initialize, and then I get a window from Norton Download Manager stating that "Norton 360 installed successfully, if you want to install on another device click here." If I open Norton 360, and run start-up manager, I find Norton Installer. Shouldn't the install upon completion remove the installer from the start-up menu? Should I just delete this from the start-up or should I try deleting the program and reinstalling?

I would suggest uninstall, use Norton Removal Tool to cleanup, delete any desktop folders and install files relating to N360, download vanity edition of N360 and reinstall. The downside is that you may loose local vault and be forced to cloud vault. Export your identity safe before you begin.

Not the solution I was hoping for, but tried the above and second install came up with another error trying to activate. After the third install, it seems to be acting like my previous versions. (ie error free and stable) Note, I installed Norton 360 ver 220.127.116.11 on two seperate computers using the Norton Upgrade tool, and the other computer would not boot after install. After a restore, we were able to reinstall Norton again. (Note previous version with Norton gadget operated without incident.) I think Norton needs to look at the upgrade tool.
