Norton Management - Trial product activation

Hi,

My daughter downloaded a trial version of N360v6

to her laptop, which I have registered in my NM.

The trial period has now expired and I have been

trying to introduce the product key (copy & paste)

from another computer in NM to the expired trial.

I get the message

'Verifying new key'

but if does not get accepted

What an I doing wrong?

Hi Pedroble,

Have you tried entering the Poduct Key manually?

Re: Norton Management - Trial product activation

How many activations do you have on your key, and how many have you used? Are you trying to activate a new key?

If you can log in to your Norton Account from your daughter's computer, click on the Download button beside your active key. This will download and install the latest version already activated. Just run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until there are no more updates available.

Just in case you were not aware, you have to have Norton Management installed on all the computers you wish to control.

I was hoping you would not say that.

My daughter's computer [CITY WORKER] is a number of days away

from here.

Our internet connections are not good for downloading

And, I do have Norton Management installed on

her computer

Re: Norton Management - Trial product activation

From the image you show, your daughter's computer is not online. You will have to co ordinate a time with her that she will be online, while you try again to get the key to activate.

BTW I hope the key shown in the screenshot is not your actual valid key. It is never a good idea to make keys public. Bad guys can us it for no good, possibly locking you out of your own protection.

Re: Norton Management - Trial product activation

Thank you.

I redownloaded as you suggested.

It would seem that the only function of

Norton Management is to see which

computers are activated.

You can install new versions when they come out from one computer to the others you have in Norton Management. You can also delete a computer you no longer own or has died, so you can use that activation for a replacement computer. Previously you had to contact Symantec Support to have them do this.
