Norton Security Suite 5 through Comcast

I cannot get my Mozilla Firefox 12 to support the Norton Security Suite Toolbar.

Any suggestions, ideas, or updates?

Please advise.

Welcome,

Have you run live update and rebooted at least twice since FF 12 was released? What version of NSS does your system say you are running?

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know the release schedule for the NSS product. If you run live update and it says you have all of the latest updates downloaded and installed that's the best you can do. Check on your ISP's site to see if there is any later information.

Hi sunrise37515

First of all please open NSS, and Click on Support in the upper righthand corner and the look at ABOUT.  Plese tell us the complete Version number you currently have installed.

Then open FireFox, Click on Tools and then Add-ons and tell us the complete version number for the Norton Toolbar and Symantec Intrusion Prevention that you see in extentions.

Giving us those numbers will help to us to try to figure out how to proceed.

Also tell us if you have just installed NSS, have it installed for awhile.  If you had FF 11 installed and working with the Norton Toolbar before the latest update etc.

We'll be  waiting on your response.

Sunrise37515: Do you have all the latest LiveUpdates (it should tell you no more are left) and rebooted when requested? Also, did you check Firefox v12's addons to be sure both Norton addons are enabled and restarted from enabling?

Hi Pi that's the same basic information I asked for 6 days ago and unless the OP comes back with an answer I guess we can't provide much assistance.  :smileyfrustrated:

Re: Norton Security Suite 5 through Comcast

I am also on the Comcast version of Norton Security Suite and have an out dated Norton toll bar that will not operate with FireFox 12.

Norton SS version: 5.2.1.3

Norton Toolbar Version:  2011.7.5.1

I have run Norton Live update many times and it says I am up to date.

I also have reloaded FireFox 12 and updated it many times.

Do I need to completely re-load Norton SS to get to the latest toolbar version or is there another way?

Thanks
