Norton 360

On my old PC I was running Win XP Pro SP2 and Norton AntiVirus 2005 (definitions were always kept up to date) and for the last 5+ years I was using Yahoo Voice through Yahoo Messenger as a home phone line as it was quite cheap and worked well.  Well, that old PC was needing an upgrade so I built new.

The new is running Win 7 Pro (64 bit) and I downloaded the Norton Security Suite that Comcast has for free.

When I try to place a call using Yahoo Voice it shows that it is "Calling" but it never seems to connect, I can hear nothing.  I have tried calling my cell and the cell acknowledges a call came in, but the voicemail is empty.  My Yahoo Voice has Voice In and Out so I try to call in with my cell and YV shows a call coming in, but when I answer it, there is no sound at all.  If Messenger is exited, the phone call gore straight to Voice Mail and a message can be left and heard.  

 I tried talking to Yahoo voice and their tech sucks as they suggested changing mic and changing versions.  The Mic makes no difference and neither did the different versions.
Their help online regarding the connection to voice servers says to check to ensure there are No Proxies, not using one so safe. It also says that "Yahoo Messenger will work if any of these TCP ports re open: 5050, 443, 80.  At least ONE of these ports must be open in order to make Phone Out calls or to receive Phone In.

So, how do I get Norton Security Suite to allow these ports?
I tried Settings> Firewall>Traffic Rules  but didn't notice anything that would be blocking these ports.

Settings>Firewall>Program Rules I selected Yahoo Messenger and changed Access from Auto to Allow and nothing made the difference.

Any suggestions?

Hi Crazy Elwin,

Sorry to know that you are unable to make or recieve the calls from Yahoo Instant essenger (YIM).

Coming to the issue , You can add the ports specified by you 5050,443 and by default port 80 will be enabled.

To add the Port Numbers :

From the Main UI -> Click Settings -> Firewall - > Traffic Rules - > ADD - > Select  "Allow" then Click "Next" -> Select Connections "to and From" other Computers - Click Next -> Select Any Computer  -Click Next -> Select Only Communications that Match all types and Ports Listed below and click on  "Add"  - Select "443" and "80" and Select Induvidually Specified Ports and add 5050 , click OK. Click Next - > Check "Create a Security History Log Entry"  - Click Next -> Give Some name you can remember like ( YIM Rule) - Click Next -> Finish ( you can see the new rule listed under the Traffic Rules -> Click on Apply and Close.
