Welcome.
What version number is your NSS? Support - About.
What browser are you using? Does it happen with another browser?
What operating system and service pack are you using?
Did you have another security software installed before installing NSS?

All security software companies strongly advise against installing more than one security software. You will have to choose between the two.
To remove the Microsoft Security Essentials, go to control panel and programs and features, and remove the program.
After removal, see if your typing works better.

Please run the MSE removal tool found here:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=81699
This should ensure all remanents of MSE are removed.
Also your Norton Security Suite is not up to date. The current version is 6.2.1.5. As you are having problems with your NSS, I would suggest you follow the instructios in this thread:
When you go to download NSS, please click on No Thanks on the Constant Guard Protection Suite popup. That will reveal the Get it Now Button to start the fresh download of NSS. It is also important to run Liveupdate (rebooting as requested) as many times as necessary to have LiveUpdate respond "No Updates Found".
Please keep us posted.

I am confused. Are you saying MSE also lagged like before installing Norton Security Suite (NSS)? Then, there is something else causing it. As Yank suggested, try NSS v6 with all LiveUpdates. You could also check to see what Windows' Task Manager show by CPU usage when the freezes occur. That could help us.
