Norton 360

Hi everyone,

Anyone know whether Norton Toolbar for Firefox 3.6 is available yet and where / how I can get it? My impression it's still being worked on.

I got dusted down by Vista Antivirus 2010, a driveby Trojan I'd like to waste its inventor big time. I wouldn't mind so much if I had picked it up on something illicit or antiscocial fair's fair but as far as I can tellI I got it off an innocous site advising me how to watermark my images. Anyway it drove me absolutely crazy and at some stage I did something really stupid trying to get rid of it which lost me all my file associations. Finally I restarted (which in hindsight I should have done immediately) and some Norton thing styled SONAR picked it up and got rid of it but by that time my computer was wasted beyond my expertise to repair and I was forced to restore the factory image which is something I'm indeed now geared up to do routinely without loss after several bad lossy crashes but all the same it was annoying.

The point is I wasn't running the Norton toolbar on whatever version of Firefox I had then and which would have protected me. But I can't get it on the latest Firefox (it's there on IE but I hardly ever use that except to download the occasional thing Firefox seems to hiccup on).

Any advice? Appreciated.

I don't understand how this question can be classified as "Solved". The answer to the persons question is NO. In fact it is now nearing the end of the second week of Feb. and I have heard nothing except it will be the second week. So just posting a date when someone thinks there will be a solution is not "Solved". The answer should be "We don't know when , and when there is a solution (the Patch) we will let you know." Then it will be solved. It's like going to the doctor with appendicitis and the doctor scheduling surgery for next week and saying you are all better.

If that doesn't work upgrade to Norton 360 Version 4. Run live update, restart pc.
