 Hi, on my computer, norton said something about it needs to run an update and now when I open norton, The backup icon went from protected to something that said attention. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi,

I'm sure one of us can. Can you give us some additional information about your system? Operating system, which version of what Norton product are you running? Anything unusual happen before this error situation?

The icon going from protected to needs attention usually means that you are overdue for something that the program does. In your case it sounds like it's time to run a backup.

Hi Minhil,

Do you have a "Fix Now" button in Norton product and what happens when you click "Fix Now" button.

Also try backing up a single file to your local drive and see if thatresolves this issue.

Hmm. what I meant to say is that the backup need to run and now the backup icon went from protected to attention.

I got windows xp media center edition. Is there anyway to change the backup icon from attention to protected without running a backup?
