Norton seems to have deleted itself?

I've only recently noticed that Norton doesnt do a daily scan any more, and today I got a message saying it was turned off. I tried to turn it back on and... nothing. When I click the icon (Windows 7) all I get is a little bar with just a minimise and exit tab. Then when I try and find the Norton installer, or something that I can laucnh Norton with, its not there any more. Seems all the other files are, well, Norton 360 is still under Program files... I've only had it for about 8 months, and its a 12 month subscription, so it cant have expired...

Any help?

Cheers.

Re: Norton seems to have deleted itself?

Thanks for the reply.

It says 'Could not gather details about the installed layout or licence'

Yet when I click on the information option, it just tells me to download the same software again?

Re: Norton seems to have deleted itself?

Since you are unable to run the Norton Remove & Reinstall tool, please try the Norton Removal Tool:

http://www.symantec.com/nrt

After running the tool, restart the computer. Then download and install it from your Norton Account:

https://www.mynortonaccount.com

Let us know the results.

Thanks,

HarryP

Yes! It seems to have worked, thanks a lot, had no idea Norton was available to download onlineif you'd purchased it in a shop.

Cheers!
