OK If you are happy Microsoft got it off otherwise here is a link to their instructions:
Have you done the rest of the installation yet.
Because it's really a different topic I've asked for your first message and the rest of the subthread to be moved to make a new thread better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

As I told you in your other thread, N360 will remove MSE because the two will not live happily together.

Here is waht I got for problem: when tryed to load 6.0
You tried to install a program that duplicates functions of your current security service. To protect your computer, duplicate functions were not installed.
You are already protected by: WindowsDefender MicrosoftSecurityEssentials
Notice: Symantec Products (Norton etc)
Portions of this product's install were blocked because you already have FULL antivirus protection already loaded and the product you are trying to install duplicates functions already registered in Windows. Company: symantec corporation Product: norton 360
MS client what ever that means is holding it up

I'm getting confused.
What version of Norton 360 V5 do you have installed on your laptop and from which you want to use the KEY and existing subscription? Is it Standard or Premier ? This is essential. PLEASE ANSWER!
<< the tech on phone told me to go to www.norton.com/n360p_6 to do this >> That is the download link for the Premier version and won't work if you have the Standard.
<< I got MSE on now so dont know if I have to get rid of this before I go to that site? >> I thought you said Microsoft had removed it and asked you why you wanted to remove it.
If it is still there follow the instructions on the link I gave you. That comes from Microsoft and is preferable to relying on N360 doing it.
