While reading messages here got the flash that I had a problem. Followed the prompts and the quick fix didn't solve the problem. Suggested doing the R and R routine [that's remove and reinstall]. Did so. Ran updates and checked to see if I was current, not quite so ran LU again and all appeared to be well. All of that was about 30 minutes ago. The same error just presented itself again.
Suggestions? I've already considered a large hammer and some explosives but had to reject them - wife's asleep.![]()

Hello Dick

Update:
Reboot with or without running LU first eliminates the problem for 10 minutes. Then it's back.
Have run SAS from safe mode and eliminated stuff. Have run Malwarebytes from safe mode and eliminated stuff. Got a few more to run so will report back later.

Hello Dick
Was your computer doing anything else besides reading these Forum posts at the time? I think it's very unlikely that you caught some sort of virus or malware from just reading posts in the Forum.

Nope, I don't think it originated here either. It is interesting that after a reboot it takes 10 minutes for it to return. A few safe mode scans turned up a number of things which have been removed but it is still with me ![]()

Previous safe mode scans by Malwarebytes and SAS - nothing found
Next step?
