Noton support asleep at the wheel?

I've had three online support chats about a simple problem.  In two chats a phone call back was promised but never happened.

I'm trying to spend money online to buy 360 and for four days all I've got is server timeouts at  buy.norton.com

Tried two browsers and two machines.

Since Norton won't help me spend my money can anyone else?

I'm sorry you had problems -- I don't know why they should need to phone back for a simple purchase unless you did not have a credit card or debit card recognized by their system. Was there anything unusual?

If you are in the US why don't you save a bunch of money and buy online from a reputable online source -- a well known one offers the Standard 3PC version for $33 as a download version and I imagine similar prices are available in different markets.

Or the retail stores with the weekend flyers have it on sale -- I see $50 after $40 mail in rebate from one of them.

Please let us know more and how you get on.

There is a specific Forum for Norton 360 so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there or better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

Thanks.

No I'm in Australia, and the cheapest multi-user licence is from Norton's website.  I'm simply seeking to renew a 3 user license or upgrade to the 5 user multi-device.

It's not a card prob: all the webiste upgrade or purchase links call buy.norton.com which keeps coming back with server time-outs.

OK, well I called Norton and renewed over the phone.

Remain underwhelmed by their support failures.

Re: Norton support asleep at the wheel?

Update:

The guy who accepted the phone-ordered upgrade told me what to do to install and activate the upgraded 360 (Premiere version).

Big d/l; all up took 25 minutes.

The new program still said there was only 7 days left of the sub!

So after another call from me I was advised that the old 360 had to be unistalled first.  The support guy took control of the computer and did it all.

Better but still patchy effort from Norton support.

Thanks.

Symantec have always been good in the past.

At the mo clearly it works better to ring them.
