Reading the threads on this issue I am not able to find recent updates on whether Norton will have 64 bit compatibility solved for this version of 360 or other Norton products being used with Outlook (and other Office products). The most recent from late last year indicated x64 compatibility will have to wait until the release of Windows 8. Any Norton insiders (or MS lurkers) have an update?

Let's hope it will be added into the next version.

Thank you for the response. My understanding is Norton will still scan email for problems unless the mail comes in through an email client using SSL?

Yes, it will scan them, exept through SSL and IMAP.
If you have email accounts that uses those ports, the product will also "scan" the mails when they are written to the HDD (by SONAR + the other basic scan and protection layers).
