I cannot open Microsoft Office 2010 Starter. A box comes up, saying I need to go into control panel to "fix it". I tried to open
it from the start button, and it says it is protected, and a symbol for "Q" drive shows up. What's the deal here ? Any documents
that were made in that program will not open, either.

Welcome,
I'm not sure your problem has any connection to any Norton product. You didn't mention which one you were running or if this is a new problem that started after an update or new install/upgrade. If you will give us the additional information we may be able to assist.
Thanks

I actually got is resolved. You were correct; it was not a Norton problem. I had to go into Control Panel and play around
awhile, but it is completely resolved.

Since it is not Norton related, I'm not sure why anyone would want the sequence. Nonetheless, here is what I had to do.
I went into Control Panel - Programs - Programs & Features _ I selected MS Office from the drop-down listing. I then went to
"Change" at the top of the title bar area, clicked it, and it basically reinstalled the program, restarted the computer, and every-
thing seems to be working fine now. It did seem as if something was "fixed" momentarily while this was going on also. There
you have it !
