Hello!
I've got a problem with my Norton 360. When I'm trying to create a backup of all my pictures from one hard drive to an external hard drive something happens. The backup gets to around two to three pictures, and then suddenly stops, telling me that the external hard drive has been disconnected when it hasn't.
Now I'm wondering if anyone would like to help me with this problem!
Thanks in advance!
Jacob

Hi jacob_astrom:
Does it make any difference if the firewall is disabled? When the external drive is plugged in, does Windows recognize it? How is it recognized; as bulk storage or does it assign a drive letter to it.

Hi!
I tried deactivating the firewall but it didn't help. Windows recognizes the harddrive and assigns it a letter, in my case G:, and puts it in the group "Harddrives". Everything works great when I'm copying files to the harddrive outside of Norton!

Jacob,
Have you looked at the network security map to be sure that Norton recognizes it and that the security level is at least 'shared'?

I'm not really shure if I got your question (or if you got mine)!
I opened the network security map and all I could see there was my computer. But my harddrive is connected to my computer via USB, so that shouldn't have anything to do with the network settings, right?

Hello!
Thank you so much! I tried what he suggested by creating a new back-up set, and now the back-up runs as it should!
Thanks again!
Jacob
