Hi Pakrbakr,
Welcome to Norton Community!
I would suggest you to download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the below link first:
http://www.symantec.com/symnrt
Run the tool multiple times, restarting the computer after each time you run. Then you can download Norton 360 from any of the following links according to the product you have brought(click on the link to to start the download):
For Norton 360: http://www.norton.com/n360s_3
For Norton 360 Premier Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360p_3
Then try to install using the downloaded file. You can use the same Product Key from the CD for activation.

Hi Pakrbakr,
Yes, the download version of Norton 360 is different from the CD version; the download versions available at the links Yogesh has indicated contain the latest build, version 3,5, which is fully compatible with Windows 7. Your CD very probably contains version 3 - which is not compatible with Windows 7. Please download the correct edition of your Norton 360 program from the appropriate download link and save it to your computer and install it.

And try installing the Norton product in Safe mode and see what happens. Do you have any other security products installed in your computer?

Hi Pakr
When you use the Norton removal tool, please make sure it is the latest one. There may be an additional problem here because the NRT leaves behind the file that has the product key in it. In this case, it has most likely left the NIS key behind. That file might be interfering with the download and install of N360 version 3.5. Please make sure that the correct key is going to be entered into N360, that is the key for N360.
