I noted from this community forum that a new version of Norton 360 was available that my program did not make me aware of. However, I would think that a virus/spyware scanner would have some automated update facility to keep it current. Am I missing something? Is there some setting in Norton 360 to activate automated updates or at least notification of the availability of program updates??

By default you should have Automatic Download of New Version enabled. To find this setting click Settings > Administrator Settings. It is the third option down.
If you use Norton Identity Safe please export a copy to somewhere you can find it if you need it - like a USB Flash Drive.
You can manually check for new versions by clicking Support > Check for New Version. Remember to run Live Update, restarting where required, until no more updates are available.
Cheers,
Dave
