Question about backup

I was wondering...If I delete a file on my computer is it deleted from the backup folder and/or list?  Or does everything accumulate over time and never get deleted?

Re: Question about backup

Hi,

No it won't be delete if you have deleted a file locally not from the backup.

But you can delete the files from your backup.

Re: Question about backup

So if I don't want clutter in my backup I need to either go through it or delete the backup entirely and create a new one?

Re: Question about backup

Hi pianomanGL,

Isn't one of the main reasons for having a backup to have a usable copy of a file in case the original should get deleted somehow?  Whether a file is deleted intentionally, accidentally, or through the actions of malware, if you delete the backup copy simultaneously you will have lost the data forever.  That would defeat the whole purpose of maintaining backup archives.

Re: Question about backup

Hi pianomanGL,

You just have to delete that file alone not the entire backup online.

I mean the file you don't to be there in the backup.
