Question about high cpu message

Every game I play which is a lot will always give me a high cpu usage message in norton.  I have just read an older topic on here that games should use as much cpu as they can or they won't run right and that it is not a big deal but it is certainly annoying.  Is there anyway you could like block the Norton program from notifying you about games.  I don't mean like add each game indidually.  I mean just block the norton program from notifying you about games because this is very annoying.   Thank you.

Re: Question about high CPU message

Hi Michelle

      If you feel that the Norton's Performance Alert is annoying, YOu can configure it to LOG only mode or Turn it OFF in the Norton Security Suite Settings.

      NSS-->Settings-->Administrative Settings-->Performance Monitoring-->Performance Alerting--<Change it to LOG Only.

Off

Turns off performance alerts. (It'll not monitor and notify)

Select this option if you do not want Norton AntiVirus to notify you with performance alerts.

On

Turns on performance alerts.

Select this option if you want Norton AntiVirus to notify you with performance alerts when a program or process exceeds the threshold limit of the system resource usage.

By default, the Performance Alerting option is turned on.

Log Only

Monitors and records the system resource usage.

Select this option if you want Norton AntiVirus to only monitor the system resource usage of every program or process running on your computer.

When a program or process exceeds the threshold limit of the system resource usage, Norton AntiVirus records these details in the Security History window. You can view the details that are related to performance alerts under Performance Alert category in the Security History window.
