This is a little complicated...I think. My old computer's hard drive crashed. I have been religious about doing Norton backups with 360 on a memory stick. Now I have purchased a new computer and I purchased a new Norton 360 with it ( since my old Norton was about to expire anyway and the one I purchased gives me 15 months of protection before I have to renew again).
I will be getting the machine shortly and want to make sure that the backup on the memory stick from the old computer can be restored on the new computer with the new Norton 360.
Are there instructions published by Norton for this circumstance. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi nyrxman,
Welcome to Norton Community!
After installing Norton 360 in new computer, run LiveUpdate repeatedly until you receive all the available updates. Then go to the restore settings in Norton 360, select the source as the external drive(plugged to your computer), and select the files which you wanted to restore. Let us know if you encounter any problem with restoring.

If you backed up your Identity safe Data onto your Hard drive and transferred it to your Mem Stick, you should have no problems.
As long as it it in an .NPM file
I have been doing this quite easily between PC's.
Even backing it up from NIS 2010 and restoring it to N360 v4.
And vice versa.
The only thing to remember is it will delete all data already in there when you do the restore from mem Stick., or from your hard drive come to that.
