Question about the backup

So I have some microsoft office word files that I update almost every day. If I configure norton 360 to backup this file, will it be back uped one time only or every time it is updated? (The file name is not changed but the writing inside the file is changed everyday.)

Welcome,

The backup feature is smart enough to know when a change has been to a file, even when the name doesn't change. So, the first run through will backup all of the files you designate and the following backups will be 'incremental' or only those files which have been changed.

Hope this helps

Re: Question about the backup

If you look at the files you should see the status of the backup.  If it has a little green check on it it means it's backed up.

As you change the file and resave it, it should soon change to a little blue arrow.  That means it's queued up for the next backup run and it will turn green again when the backup is synchronized with the changes.
