Questions about the New Versions

Hi,

  1. From a clean installation (not Upgrading) is the Local ID Safe available?
  2. Is the "Share Button" removed?  If not, can we disable it ?
  3. Is there a Norton Gadget?

Thanks,

Dave.

[ Edited ]

Are the "Program Rules" empty for anyone else and does the add a new rule button do anything?

Edit:

Installed on a different machine and all looks as it should.

Re: Questions about the New Versions

I had moved to online vault for testing with my NIS2012 and did the upgrade to 2013. With this upgrade path, any access to local vault is gone. Cannot create new one, only online.

Guess I have to reimage.

Re: Questions about the New Versions

Thanks Peter,

Not at all what I was hoping to hear.

Perhaps you can reinstall NIS12,  create a local ID Safe,  then upgrade.

Cheers,

Dave

That's what I was going to try after the reimage. Probably tomorrow now.

Re: Questions about the New Versions

Did an upgrade from 2012 with local vault to 2013.

Local vault is still there.

I will experiment with what they call Syncing instead of Move Data Online to see if that permanently disables local.

Re: Questions about the New Versions

Follow up

Had NIS 2012 with local vault.

Upgraded to 2013.

Local vault still available, and functional.

Logged into an existing Online vault (created in 2012). Functioned as expected.

Logged out of Online vault.

Log into Identity Safe gives option of Online or Local vaults. You can go back and forth.

So far so good.

The problem comes when you Create an Online vault by Syncing your local vault using 2013.

After you do that, you are locked into ONLY the Online Vault. You cannot even create a new local vault. You can only create and access Online vaults.

Guess I have to reimage yet again.
