How do i request a refund of the automatic subscription payment taken from my credit card? I will no longer be using this computer and have uninstalled Nortons from it . I thought I had unchecked the auto renew option last year but it took the payment anyway. So how can I request the refund now that I've done the unsubscribe rourine already?

The fastest and most efficient way to request a refund is to contact Symantec Customer Service at the link below (for US and Canada); you can use the chat feature for free; the support agent will process your refund request for you, and you should also receive an e-mail confirmation after your request has been submitted:

Assuming you don't want to install the product on a new computer and continue the subscription then it is probably best for you to contact Norton's Customer Support since they can handle both cancelling the autorenewal and processing the refund.

You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
