Reinstall 360 after hard drive failure

I have a five user licence for Norton 360 with two licences left.  I need to replace a hard drive in one of the computers I've already installed Norton 360 on but when I do it will recognize it as a new install and leave me with one licence left.  How do I reinstall Norton 360 on the old computer without using a licence?  I can't find any way to contact Norton about this.  Thanks,

Re: Reinstall 360 after hard drive failure

Hello wdouglasta

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Reinstalling N360 on a new harddrive should not use up an activation. Since you haven't mentioned which N360 you have, I will list all of them.

Please pick the appropriate link based on the amount of backup space you have

Please go to www.mynortonaccount.com to get your product key. Please make sure you d/l the correct version for your key since they are not interchangeable.

If you find that installing N360 on a new harddrive takes up an additional activation, you can call up customer support and explain to them what you want to do. They should be able to readjust the activation count for you. You can use the free chat support program listed below.

This is the link for US/Can. If you need a different location, please consult your local Symantec site for the local free chat customer support link.

Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.

Re: Reinstall 360 after hard drive failure

Thanks for the link to chat.  I couldn't seem to find that anywhere on the Norton Website.  I have the installation disk so it wasn't an issue of downloading the program, just not using an activation.  I think this will solve my problem.  Thank you!

Re: Reinstall 360 after hard drive failure

Hello wdouglasla

Thanks for the update. Using one of my links posted above will allow you to get a more current version than what is on your CD. Just make sure you pick the correct version and also remember to run live update until there are no more updates and then reboot one more time. Thanks.
