In resolving a problem with my computer, the tech uninstalled Norton 360 v.6. I have already used the three installations allowed by the software. I have the disc to do a reinstall, but am not sure if 360 will recognize that it is the same computer. Do not want to attempt the installation until I have an answer, as I have anti-virus software on my computer that will have to be unistalled first, and I don't have the means to reinstall the tech-installed anti-virus.
Thanks for the help!

If you have not made any hardware changes to your system, there should be no problem with the reinstall.
Go ahead and fully remove the other security software from control panel first, then use the uninstall utility for that software.
Log into your Norton Account from www.account.norton.com and click on the Download button beside your current subscription. This will download and install a preactivated copy of your software. This copy will be much later version than any disc you may have, and will save a lot of updates being downloaded and installed
Be sure to run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Let us know how things go.
