Remove System Tray Icon

Hey, is there any way to remove or hide the system tray icon for Norton 360? Is this icon required for Norton to run?

Re: Remove System Tray Icon

In addition to providing quick access to some of the features, the system tray icon also displays the health state of Norton 360 and would be the primary way that you would be alerted to any breakdown in your protection.  You can hide it the same way that you can hide any system tray icon using Taskbar properties, but it is not recommended.

Re: Remove System Tray Icon

As SendOfJive said, it is not recommended to hide the Norton system tray icon. However, if you still want to hide the icon, you can find the steps in the following links:

Windows XP:

Windows 7 or Vista
