Removing backup files very slow

I hope I am posting in the right place. This is my first post so bear with me please.

When I delete a file from my online backup, (example a 4mb mp3 file) it takes a long time. Sometimes 5 minutes or more. I was cleaning out some duplicates and when I removed a file, after a few minutes, my modem started flashing just as it does when sendiing and receiving data and continued for about 5 mins. is this normal? It seems to take as long if not longer than when I originally backed it up.

Nor 360 v 4.3.0.5

E Machines T3626 w/AMD Sempron Proc. 3800+ 2.20 Ghz ; 2GB ram ; 140 GB HD (57% free) ; Win Vista Home Prem. sp2  ; 32 bit Operating System

DSL (3mbs download 430 kbs upload speed)

Thanks in advance, John

Re: Removing backup files very slow

Hi Jm9816,

Welcome to the Norton community!

As far as deleting files from you backup sets (Secure online storage), it does take time to delete. It depends in the internet bandwidth, network traffic etc.

As long as it does not throw you an error, your deletion of files taking a long time is completely normal.

Cheers!
