I'm getting to that time where my subscription is due for renewal. It would seem that if I buy the product again (direct from symantec) is is around £20 cheaper than going through the renewal route for 2 years of cover.
Are there any additional benefits gained from renewing?
Cheers

Not that I am aware of. Buying the product (whether Norton 4 or 5 or 6 at least means you get a cd for install. You may also be able to buy the product cheaper from other merchants e.g. Costco if that it know to you.
Personally I buy my copies in China, afaik the cheapest

Jinky ...
As long as the source is reliable go for the cheapest convenient route. We normally suggest just using the key and if installing to check here for a link to the most uptodate downloadable file which may save you some time upgrading since the disks do not change from the initial version.
Over here in the USA I don't usually see multi-year boxes in the stores although I do see 1, 3, 5 PC boxes.
