I had a version of Norton 360 from 2008 that backed up my files on to my D drive, but I my school wanted everyone to use the same antivirus program so I uninstalled Norton 360 and used their program. I have now deleted some files by mistake and need them back. I am more that certain that the back up from 2008 has them, so I downloaded the trial of the newest Norton 360 but can not for the life of me figure out how to restore the files from 2008. Can someone please HELP?!?!?

Did you save these backups on your local drive, or to the Secure Online Storage that comes with N360?
If to the local hdd, than first configure 360's backup sets, and when you are done, copy the old backups to the same folder. Then run ARestore.exe from C:\Program Files\Norton 360\Engine\3.5.2.11 and select the backup you want to restore.
If you backed up the data to the online storage, go to http://nobu.backup.com, and log-in with your old Norton Account information, and select use it with 360.

Have you installed the latest Norton 360 product? (Norton 360 Version 3.0). If not, please install the latest version.
Then navigate to the folder, C:\Program Files\Norton 360\Engine\3.0.0.134, you can find a tool Arestore.exe
Then navigate to C:\Program Files\Norton 360\MUI\3.0.0.134\09\01, you can find a file Arestore.loc
Then copy Arestore.exe and Arestore.loc to the D drive where you have the N360_BACKUP folder for your old backup set.
Then double click Arestore.exe to run it. It will slowly restore your files.
