Can I run Norton 360 while I am working on the computer?

Hi LouP,
Norton security products are meant to run all the time when you work on your computer, and also when your computer is idle. Norton 360 has realtime protection, which means that it will protect your computer as long as your machine is turned on; turning off the protection will expose your computer to risks and cause Norton's status to change from a green checkmark to a red icon, indicating that your computer is at risk and that you should turn on Norton again. The whole point of a realtime security program like Norton 360 is that you leave it on all the time :-) Finally, Norton 360 (version 4) is very light on the computer resources and will not slow down your machine, enabling you to work smoothly while Norton runs quietly in the background. Of course, if it, for instance, finds a threat, then it will notify you.

I quest I did not clarify what I needed to know. Sorry
Norton 360 is always on when the computer is on. What I wanted to know was can I run a Comprehensive Scan while working on the computer?

Yes, you can run a full system scan and work on your computer at the same time :-)
