Scanning External Drives

Hi, this is more of a 2 part question. I am using Norton 360 and I'm wondering where 2 features from Norton 2005 have gone. 1st, how to scan ONLY a external hard drive and NOT the whole PC. Second, with Norton 2005 I was able to right click on any type of file or folder (zip file for instance) and be able to scan that folder alone. Has 360 omitted these 2 features or could I not be looking in the right place? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the Norton Community

You can right-click any drive, folder or file in Windows Explorer and there is a "Norton 360" entry to choose "scan now" from.

Re: Scanning External Drives

mdturner, thanks for the response. I just tried what you had suggested because that was how I did it with Norton 2005 but with 360 when I right click any drive or folder there is no Norton option (even via Windows Explorer). Any other suggestions?

What Operating System are you using and what is the build number of 360 you have- click on Help & Support and then click About?

I'm running XP and right now I'm getting the free update to 360 version 3.

Let me know how it goes once you have V3 installed. Do you have any other AV software installed?
