Hello,
I recently installed Norton 360 v5.0 and the Subscription Status on the main screen said 339 days remaining. I've been trying to connect with the Norton Online Chat support but have been unable to connect to them. I hope someone can help explain this.
Thanks in advance,
CElle

Hi
Welcome Norton Community. Please answer the below questions.
When did you purchased the N360?
How many computers are you using under the same N360?
Where did you purchased the N360 from?

Hi Subash,
Thank you for responding so quickly.
Here are the answers to your questions:
When did you purchased the N360? Sometime in Nov
How many computers are you using under the same N360? There are 2 others I had installed the same N360 on.
Where did you purchased the N360 from? Purchased from a local distributor PC Express.
** This is installed on a new computer with Win7
The same actually happened on another computer (WinXP) whose N360 subscription I renewed. I keyed in the product key (different from the one in issue above) and the Subscription status did not say 366 days but something like 364 or 363. I attempted to reach Support but had not pursued the issue until this 2nd incident.

Hi
Please contact our support from here, Because our support people can check with the Product key and can find out when the Key was first activated. And did you asked the PC Express people about this?

Hi CElle,
The subscription period starts when the product is activated on the first computer and runs for one year from that date. So if the product was previously installed on other PCs a month ago, then the days remaining apply to all computers using that licence, regardless of when the product is subsequently installed on other PCs. What you are seeing may be the correct number of days, as this third computer will only show the number of days left since the original activation date.

Hello SendOf Jive,
Thanks for clarifying that point. After I had chatted with a Norton Tech, which wasn't too helpful as she simply gave me the expiration dates of my products, I figured that the subscription activation probably begins on the 1st installation. You just confirmed that for me.
Thanks again and happy new year!
