Hi,
I ran a virus scan using Norton 360 which found this virus. It instructed me on how to manually remove it, since the software couldn't remove it automatically. After following the instructions and running the zeroaccess remover tool from Symantec's website, the scan didn't pick up anything. However, the virus is still there.
Since then I've tried every option available that Norton offers, including the Bootable Recovery Tool and the Norton Power Eraser, and I'm still stuck with this virus.
Between all of the scans done I've managed to get rid of all other viruses my computer had, but I still need help with this one.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit on an HP laptop.
Thanks,
- Matt

Good luck. I have have wasted two days on this. Great that we pay for a major company to provide us protection and here we are with a virus on our computers that we cannot get rid of. Trust me. all the tools they have online to fix this do not work. Meanwhile people keep posting on here for help... and we are not getting it. NO RESPONSES FROM THE COMPANY..Sorry for the rant but at this point I guess my money spent on norton is a waste and I have been a customer for over 12 years.

What ever you think, just don't use tools that are not for the standard user to use.

ANY other user other than the thread starter is not to use any instructions, scripts or proceedures, The work though in cleaning a system is individual and only for that system due to a number of factors.
Unfortunately, with the amount of threads means the waiting time is longer, Norton continually Blocking files won't hurt your system but is is just annoying, Please wait and be patient. I am trying to keep up, spending hours here to script and clean machines on a first come/first served basis. If you or someone adds to your thread It will be pushed back in line due to the new update. I use the boards in reverse to what is seen
Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
1. Find
2. Break
3. Destroy
4. Cleanup (including system as a whole)
Please read every post completely before doing anything.

Do you have a Flash Drive??

You have more than zeroaccess infecting your PC, so I am going to get FRST to gather more information for me, to double check.
Download the script attached, needs to be the same file name as well (fixlist.txt), Copy across to flash drive
NOTE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
Now please enter System Recovery Options again. Like previously
