Vulnerability scan question.

When I ran the vulnerability scan on my computer, I was able to remove some items off my computer that posed a threat.  When it indicated there were 91 possible threats regarding internet explorer, however, I'm not sure how to delete those items.  Any advice is much appreciated since I am so new at this.  :)

Re: Vulnerability scan question.

Hello,

Exactly which product is it that you have run this "vulnerability scan" with? I know Kaspersky has one, but Norton products do not have this feature.

Re: Vulnerability scan question.

I have latest version of Norton 360.  It is under the tasks menu in general tasks...

Thanks so much for your help and quick response!

Re: Vulnerability scan question.

Ah, that explains why I hadn't seen that. This is the forum for Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus, not Norton 360. The Norton 360 forum is found here:

No worries, though - I am sure a moderator will be along shortly and move your thread to that forum. :smileyhappy:

Hi Lindie,

The 'Check Vulnerability Protection' feature shows all vulnerabilities in programs that N360 is protecting you from and it is not specific to your computer.  There are several programs listed that I do not have installed on my system.

I hope this helps.

Dave.

Re: Vulnerability scan question.

Thanks so much for the clarification.  I was starting to panic when I saw all the threats!  Thank goodness I chose Norton 360 as my computer virus protection software.  I just purchased it and there is so much I have to learn ~ I'm glad I have you guys as my support!     :)

Thanks so much,

Lindie
