Re: Weird "Problem" Restoring

I am glad to hear that you are not encountering this issue anymore and sorry for the unavailability of the logs.

In your first message on this thread you mentioned that "the program first did a lot of initializing and then came up with a error message..."  - do you recall if the error came before the file downloading progress bar or prior to that?

Regards,
Gaurav

It came right at the point where the progress bar indicated the restore was complete.

Could it be that N360 exchanges an "all-clear" with the server and that it was this part that went wrong?

Because as I mentioned, the restored file was OK and fully functionable ...

Re: Weird "Problem" Restoring

Hi,

We are trying to determine exactly that only :)

Security History logs would have been helpful in the sense we could have seen if there a pattern which leads to this unusual behavior (for example, maybe you need to delete some files from the backend before initiating restore which leads to this).

Anyways, the next window (after the progress window)  - which lists all the files that were restored with their status. Did it show any files not restored properly (i.e. with a red 'X' icon)? And at the risk of sounding redundant - are you sure that all files were restored properly?

Regards,
Gaurav

Re: Weird "Problem" Restoring

As I recall there wasn't a window like that.

And yes, I'm sure they were all restored, it was a Thunderbird profile, and if anything is missing the next time you try to run Thunderbird, it will complain if something's missing - or you'll see it by the fact that data that should be there aren't.
