What is Norton 360/ Symantec doing about W32/Agent.VEFO!tr trojan virus?
Luckily my firewall caught the outgoing from this but the current set of Norton 360 definitions do not locate the infected file on my computer.
The only info I could find is here:
http://www.fortiguard.com/search.php?action=detail
A search of the Norton/ Symantec site for VEFO returns no results.

Welcome,
We may have to wait for the staff to return to the office to get a response to that question.

Hi jimkress,
What information did the firewall provide about what it blocked? What firewall and AV are you using?

I’m using a Fortigate 60C hardware firewall and Norton 360 AV. I also have Malwarebytes installed.

Any update on status? I am quite concerned about this trojan.

If Norton IPS did not alert to a malicious outbound connection, and scans with Norton and Malwarebytes' fail to find the Trojan, it could possibly be a false positive. I see that new Fortinet defs were released on December 8. What did the alert you received actually say?
