The subject appears numerous times after Norton 360 has done a virus scan. This Adware Hotbar appears to be installed every few days and some times a couple days in row! Norton quarantines it but does not remove it.
I have Norton 360 vr 3.0.0135.

What is Norton finding in History under resolved, unresolved and quarantined items?
Also your N360 is very much out of date. We will look at that later.

I'm hoping for an automated method of removing the issue. Making all of those registry changes is going to take considerable time. Also, after a year, there is a likelihood that some of the files may have different names and be missed in the cleanup.

Reviewed "Adware.Hotbar-Removal" suggested by Jaksteve03 and it appears to be a fairly complex removal of numerous files requiring modification of the registry file! Like delphinium's comments, I would hope that there would be an automatic method.

Give Superantispyware, free version a try. Save the log file to Notepad and attach it to your next post.
