This may be an issue with the Norton Security History not catching the Antiphishing updates. I checked my log and found the last update was January 9. I then went into the Norton definition folder and found a current update. In fact, yesterday I manually updated and received an Antiphishing set and the Norton History Identity log did not pick it up. I have cleared the log and will see if the next update appears.
So, check your actual definitions folder, which for NIS is located at:
C:\ProgramData\Norton\[weirdnumbers&letters]\NIS_
version number\Definitions\antiphishing (Apologies if that is a little off, as I am on a Mac and doing this from memory) N360 should be similar. The file name should be the date, ie., 20100125.xxx
Thanks Send Of Jive I will check it out, I also have a problem with Norton 360 diagnostics saying my operating system may be missing key security or performance related patches. According to microsoft update I am up to date. I hope Symantec can shed some light on this, because I'm about ready to re-install my Windows if I cant find a solution, as I had a backdoor trojan found by malwarebyte, and thought by removing it I may have caused some damage to my system. I was going to find an alternate to Norton 360, but in all honesty I dont want the hassle, and would prefer to stick with 360 as unlike Kaspersky and others you dont need to configure it. Also from various ratings on the internet from different sources it seems Norton comes up tops for all round security.

Hi reactivate,
Having cleared my Identity History logs, I find that new antiphishing updates are now being logged. So, at least in my case, it appears to be an issue with Norton Security History, which does tend to be a bit buggy in some ways. It is supposed to overwrite old entries when it reaches its storage limits, but it would seem that the Identity logs just stopped updating altogether on January 9, but resumed as soon as I cleared the history.
Does N360 tell you what patches it thinks you are missing? What was the malware that Malwarebytes' found and where was it located on your system?

Hi SendOFJive,
Firstly, can you tell me how I clear my identity history logs. N360 just says I might be missing key security or performance updates. Malwarebyte identified a Trojan called "Trojan.Backdoor" it would not remove the trojan from my system until I removed in safe mode. The file was AlphaCM Installer300.exe. I removed this file from my computer over 6 months previously, it is a VSTi (virtual instrument) that was free with Computer music magazine. I suspect that the trojan may have renamed itself to this, and that AplphaCM Installer did not ever contain the trojan. The file location was in C:\Users\****_2\ Ableton Related\desktop\CM\AlphaCMInstaller300.exe I considered the fact that this might be a false/positive, but if that were the case I should surely have been able to remove the file without having to use safe mode.
Also I logged in as Admin yesterday, and got notification that Windows had blocked programs from startup. These included Malwarebytes, Superanti Spyware, and a few others including Java I think. No Norton related files appear to be listed amongst those, and Norton 360 always loads on startup

Is this what you looking for
Norton window -- Tasks -- View Security History
There is a 'Clear History' button on right hand side near bottom.

Now you have really got me baffled, because the only buttons on the right hand side near the bottom are: a blue button saying "more details" and a blue button saying "close" Unless to view this you need to be logged in as Admin. I will try doing that later, but if it is the same then I am well and truely baffled.

Hi Reactivate, I think Boneidle forgot to say tick on view Identity in the drop down menu first ,then it gives the option of clearing history.

I see a import security history log file and a export security log file, but I do not see what you are saying.

Below is Image as I see it with N360 v3
Try the View dropdown at top left, select Full History
( even click the little blue circle beside @Refresh List, if it helps.)
There should be TWO buttons below 'Other Actions'.
One being -- Clear History.
PS -- Are you Logged in to an Administrative Account
