I had to replace my Hard drive. I have reloaded my programs and am ready to restore my data. When doing so it placed it in the original location which for some reason is different that what my current location is. For e.g. I restored my pictures, and music. I had to move it to a different user folder. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

In Outlook Express I used to be able to right click on a message and then select (from what I remember) 'Norton Anti-Spam' -> 'This is spam'.
Since the update to Norton 360 220.127.116.11 I don't have any right click options, indeed I can't see any sign of Norton Anti-Spam in Outlook Express.

Since the update to Norton 360 18.104.22.168 I when I run Live Update I the 'Check for updates' succeeds but the 'Download updates' fails. I have reset my PC on multiple occasions but still get the same problem.

Hi, it might be a question with an obvious answer but why is it with mmy Norton 360 set to receive automatic updates that when I manually run live updates there's usually some to down load. Do automatic updates only happen at certain times?

Norton 360 keeps on going walkabout and not opening at all.
Icon just disappears from notification area, and will not open from desktop shortcut or from start menu list.
This has been happening over several weeks/months.
I keep using Remove & Reinstall but sooner or later (usually sooner) it happens again.
Whenever it does, IE9 stops working too unless I go into safe mode.
I have been suffering crashes of various sorts for months now.
Oh, and the PC keeps losing its restore points, except for one 16 months old !
Norton 360, Malwarebytes and various other diagnostics can find nothing wrong.
I have now come to the conclusion that Norton is causing all this and I've given up on it entirely.
I have completely uninstalled and downloaded MS Essentials Security.
Hooray - everying is fine so point proven.
Can I get a refund on my annual subscription please?

I have recently upgraded my Home Server and installed Windows Home Server 2011 on it. I am currently a user of Norton 360 for my Windows 8 desktop and Windows 7 laptop. I was wondering if there was anyway I could install Norton 360 on my Windows Home Server? I get an error stating that it's not compatible.

I have Norton 360 and Windows 7. Yesterday, someone hacked into my Yahoo e-mail. Someone texted me that my e-mail must have been hacked and I was able to change my password within about 10 minutes of when this person hacked my account (from Taiwan according to my Yahoo sign-in activity. So, I changed my password twice and my security questions. My question is, will Norton 360 pickup on malware? I am running a full system scan right now and it is only finding cookies. My husband got a hacked e-mail from me today on his AOL account, but when I looked at my Yahoo sign-in activity there was nothing strange there like yesterday. By the way, there was nothing in my sent folder out of the ordinary yesterday, but I did get some undeliverable messages saying my e-mails didn't go through. The only thing I got today was an e-mail saying that it took too long to send an e-mail so they were making it undeliverable. I read on the Internet that hackers can download malware on your computer so that it sends out e-mails without you knowing it. If this was the case would a full system scan with Norton 360 take care of that? Also, I don't have the same e-mail password for anything important (ex. Recipe sites), but I did change anything that did share the same password yesterday. Thank you for any advice, Debbie

I appealed to the Microsoft Community about the problems with their Windows Update Installer repeating the same update after it has been successfully updated (shown on the computer as being such) and wondered if the Windows Updater had a problem. They seem to think that Registry Cleaners are the culprits:
Injudicious use of registry cleaners may be playing a (minor) role here. TIP: If you ever again think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired, boosted, tuned-up, cured, tweaked, fixed, maximized, "swept" or optimised (it doesn't), readhttp://chris.pirillo.com/are-registry-cleaners-saf
Then they asked me if I had backups of all the registry changes, the registry cleaners have ever made to my computer. I was not aware that before I press the registry cleaner button my Norton 360 that there should be a backup. I did not know to that, so therefore there was no backup. I do not know what to think of their statements.
Norton 360, I do trust and has helped my computer to stay safe irrregardless of what Microsoft thinks. For all I know, that update was corrrupted and Microsoft does not want to admit that their software "has faults".
So, now, I don't know what to do. Hope someone can enlighten me or something.
Do you have backups of ALL the changes registry cleaners have EVER made to your computer

I just got Windows 8 and installed Norton 360. I use Chrome also. I'm still getting all kinds of popups. Is there a place to set up the program to stop them or report that I'm getting them. They range from supposed Yahoo surveys to pornography. What can I do?

All of a sudden I can't open Norton Security Suite and I get the message about missing MSVCP100.dll. I used the Norton fix program and it didn't find anything. I have found a few posts about this and tried the fix program suggestion but I am not seeing much more help about it. Maybe because I don't understand what they are talking about. Can anyone help? Thanks

I am writing to complain about shockingly poor customer journey.
I have bought your product from PC world, followed the instructions on the key card and cant find where to download the product I have paid for. I have wasted about 20 minutes of my precious time reading non=sensical forum posts and links which don't send you to a download page.
Please send me the link to download norton 360 gold and sort it out!

Yes, I did a search first, but the answers I found weren't really helpful (though if I missed the right one, sorry for the repeat).
Running N360 Backup against a Drobo 5N (NAS) from Win7 64-bit across 1GB I'm seeing network utilization (per Task Manager) of between 0.1% and 22%, with most of the time being <10%.
Copying files from the same machine to the Drobo using Windows Explorer, I get 60%+ utilization.
Given my backup set for this initial backup is 750GB+, obviously I'd prefer it to finish this week.
Is there an explanation and (ideally) a fix? Once backup goes incremental, I doubt it will be quite as bad, but still I can add 20GB of data in a day.
Since I already have N360 across the household, my preference would be to use it for backup. But if such significantly lower performance is part of the package, I will have to find something else.

I have tried this morning to install Norton 360 to my laptop( running Windows 8).
I put the disc in and it made all the right noises, a box popped up (not a Norton box, a Toshiba box). I clicked on' Install Norton 360' an that's where it ended. Nothing else happened.
I uninstalled McAfee virus protection and restarted the laptop before I tried to install Norton, it seems i have something called 'Windows Defender'. Is this the problem?? Help! My laptop currently has no protection.

I usually start up Norton early in the morning, go back to sleep, and it's done by the time I wake up around noon. Around 7am this morning, I started up Norton for a full system scan. Everything looked to be going fine, so I went back to sleep. When I woke up around 12am, Norton was still running, but it said "1 File being processed...". I thought it was odd because it had been running for 5 hours and still was not completed. I shrugged it off and thought that if I left it running more, it would finish. I went to work. I just got home, it is now midnight, and it is still running with the same message. I tried to close the window, but it says that it is unable to exit while processing a threat, though it has been processing for over 12 hours now. The only threats it picked up were 4 tracking cookies and I can't even see what they are, yet.
What should I do??
I'm running Norton 360 (v: 126.96.36.199).

I just wanted to ask how exactly does Norton 360 scan your emails for viruses and malware. Does Norton 360 scan your emails during a Full System Scan or does it scan emails when you log into your email? Do you need to turn on email scans or is it on by default? Also when something is found does Norton 360 alert you or does it remove the bad email automatically without record?

I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 16. I was prompted to download and install an update to Norton 360, which I did. Now my Norton tool bar is missing from Firefox. I've tried several methods to restore it, including enabling it in the System tray, and the steps for corrupted extension files in Firefox. Norton 360 says the toolbar is enabled. Firefox doesn't list it under View->Toolbars, and there is nothing listed under Tools->Add-Ons->Extensions. How do I get my Norton toolbar back?

I run a members sonly web site and starting Sunday June 2, members have been getting this message and can't sign in. I talk to the hosting company and they said there is no red flags, , site looks good, and I sent my url through Norton to see if it's a safe site. Anyone know why this would be causing problems all of a sudden?
I attached one message.

when i try to double click on my norton 360 icon it will not open. if i right click in can get it to run a quick scan, send me to support, etc., but i cannot get my computer to open the actual 360 program with the dialogue box for scans, backup, etc., so i can't run a full scan, file cleanup, and so on. i ran power eraser on friday and it detected and supposedly removed something called "fighters" which it called a high risk, but that didn't fix my problems. anyone have any experience with what's going on with my computer?

Like other users on here I have seen a pop-up saying "Analysing 1011.js" followed by "1022.js has been removed" everytime I use Internet Explorer.
Am looking to get this removed, have read the guidelines for the forum and have tried running a full scan and also Norton Power Eraser but pop up still appears.
