Hello:
I was logging into Craig's List using Google Chrome (ver 18.0.1025.162 m) and got the same runtime error seen previously:
Exact message text is:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Norton Online\Engine\2.3.0.7\ccSvcHst.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call.
Operating System:
Windows XP Home Edition SP3
Installed Norton products:
Norton Safety Minder 2.3.0.18, Norton Online Framework 2.3.0.7, Norton Online Datastore 2.3.0.7
Norton Ghost 10.0
Norton 360 6.2.0.9 - just renewed my subscrition yesterday.
I do not have any of the incompatible products as listed in
Any ideas?

Hi mcf125,
Do you see the error message every time you log into Craig's List via Google Chrome?
Can you please uninstall Norton Safety Minder (and reinstall it later) from the PC to see if you still see the message (Trying to narrow down if the message is related to Norton Safety Minder or Norton 360)?
Thanks,
Katie

In another thread, I guy said he had the problems for months. What I want to know is why the hell has Norton solved the problem given that we get automatic updates all the time.
Yesterday, I tried a guys suggestion to turn off the Anti-virus (until next reboot.) It seemed to have worked yestereday. Today ccsvchst.exe is eating yp my processing again and that solution did not work this time.
I want a solution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can we have confidence in Norton if it can not solve its own problems ???????
And given it seems to have going on (wait - his email was in 21010 !) why hasn't Norton solved this ???????
And I am paying for protection from the bad guys - not from the company that is supposed to be doing that for me.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it seems your 10 minute support call back is bogus also. All I am hearing from Norton is reasons that do not seem to be Norton problems or require a huge amount of user time to fix. I pay PAY Norton to solve problems, not generate ones that I have to spend to clean up. This has been going on every since your last update. Fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highlandhoh3,
Sorry for the trouble. If you can provide more information regarding the problem you are facing with Norton product, we can help you further. Please provide the following information:
- Version of Norton product
- Your Operating System
- Any other Security product you have installed
- when exactly does ccsvchst.exe starts hogging your CPU/memory
Did you try uninstall/reinstalling your Norton porduct? If not, try that using Norton remove & reinstall tool:
Thanks,
HarryP
