Hi;
I have Norton 360 installed on a machine running Windows XP and I need to reformat the hard drive and do a clean install of the operating system. Can I just go ahead and re-install Norton 360 again or is there something that I would need to do before I delete everything so that I can re-install it trouble free? I have a 3 user version of it and it is installed on 2 other macines that are behaving just fine.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi Ray,
Before you do anything if at all possible, open N 360 and Export/BackUp you ID Safe Data if you use it for your log-ins, password.
You should be able to just install N 360 and it should see the reinstall as the "3rd install" without any question. However if there is anything that indicates that a n install is not available - you can contact Live chat, explain the situation to them and they should be able to free up an activation.
Live chat- www.norton.com/chat
You should also be able to log into your Norton Account after the reformatt and click on the yellow download button for you license. Once again, if any problems, contact Livechat.
Once you have the fresh install activated, run LiveUpdate (rebooting as requested) until it responds "no updates found" and then reboot one more time and you should be fine.
Please keep us posted.
