Hello ,
I am using Norton 360 latest version and also Norton Power Eraser.
On performing a full systems scan I found "NO" DETECTIONS and also 0 security threats.
Just to be double sure, I used NORTON POWER ERASER tool, and performed a full scan as well.
To my surprise it found " dmedia.exe' file an indicated it may or may not be harmful. It aslo provided me with a "cloud" symbol for "cloud scan" and an option for fix . The FIX option suggested to remove it after performing system restore.
I am interested in knowing whether this particular file "DMedia.exe" is harmful ?
It is listed under ASUSTEK folder of "current processess"
Please note, this is not the first time I have used Norton Power Eraser, and earlier this file was never detected.
'appreciate any help.
Thanks,
jay

Hi MT4448,
One of the caveats when using NPE is that it is aggressive and will often give false positive results. You should never "fix" a file unless you know for sure that it is not something legitimate that belongs on your system. You could upload the file to VirusTotal to check which, if any, AV products find the file suspicious.
