dvd drive not working!

can anyone help? Since i've installed Norton 360 I cant use my dvd drive. It's still being recognised in by my computer but whenever I put a disc into it nothing happens and the dvd isnt registering.  I've tried to update the driver but it hasnt helped. Any ideas?     Thanks
