help with the 360 desktop gadget please?

greetings. i am using windows 7, with norton 360, not really familar with it so far.

i have a limited account and an administrator account on this pc...

the 360 gadget works fine when logged in as an admin., but when running the limited account, the 360 desktop gadget does not appear on the desktop screen.  even if i run 360 (as an admin) by right clicking from on the limited account's desktop screen, its not there.

how (specifically) can i get the gadget on my limited account's desktop, please and thank you in advance.

Re: help with the 360 desktop gadget please?

Hi,

gadget should work in both type of accounts.

You might try to restore the gadget from the windows' related option

[here is explained how http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10215-gadgets-restore-default-gadgets.html]

or also reinstall the program (from the admin account) if the gadget is not present yet.

some other suggestions for a similar problem.

I hope this can help.

Sorry, i forgot to mention one thing.

In Win7 sidebar is not enabled by default.

If is not enabled, you can run sidebar.exe

(this should help on how do it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/963010 )

Hi

From your Standard Account goto start->All Programs-> Click on ' Desktop Gadget gallery ' -> You'll get the below window -> Double click on the Norton Gadget -> It will show up on your Desktop sidebar.

Hi

Yup you're correct: limited account = Standard account.
